Former developers of EVE Online are planning the new MMO Pax Dei with their studio Mainframe Industries, which situates itself somewhere between Valheim and New World. With some ideas that can advance both survival games and MMORPGs, it aims to cater to all players. MeinMMO presents the MMO in the video.
You play in Pax Dei in a medieval world where you can completely shape your character. Together with other players, you can build villages and towns in the shared world, gather resources from animals and the environment, and craft equipment, weapons, and potions.
In Pax Dei, there are no NPCs giving you quests. Instead, you are supposed to write the stories yourself and explore the environment. With a special zoom feature, you get information about the things you look at more closely or learn more about the history of the world.
A special feature is the graphics, as Pax Dei is one of the first MMOs in Unreal Engine 5. The new sandbox MMO will initially be released on Steam, but is later expected to also be playable on consoles and mobile via a cloud service. A date is still pending.
