Along with Mid-Season 1 starting on December 14, the very first Raid in the Call of Duty universe kicks off. The trailer provides insights into a major mission, which is part of the Spec-Ops mode of Modern Warfare 2.
Call of Duty is venturing into a new game format and introduces a Raid for the first time – a PvE adventure for 3 players.
The operators Captain Price, Farah, and Gaz infiltrate an enemy base in the fictional state of Urzikstan. The mission continues the campaign story and is expected to last several hours.
The trailer offers a first glimpse of the Raid, which is called “Überfall” in the German version. Enemies lurk everywhere, and teamwork will be particularly crucial.
For example, there is a diving puzzle where your 3-player team has only one oxygen tank. This requires coordination and precise timing.
How can I play the Raid? You absolutely need Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for this. Raids are part of the Spec-Ops co-op mode, which you can only play if you own CoD MW2.
Additionally, you must qualify for the Raid anew each week. Complete one of the following tasks to gain access:
- Special daily challenge in the MW2 multiplayer
- Rank among the top 20 in a Battle Royale of Warzone 2
- Extract $30,000 in one go in DMZ mode
Afterward, the Raid will be available to you for one week.
What do I get from the Raid? You can unlock special cosmetics here. This includes a new operator for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.
Additionally, after your first successful run, you will unlock a higher difficulty level. If you like the format, you can tackle a bigger challenge on your next attempt.
