Arma 3 is probably one of the most legendary shooters of all time for many players. Even nine years after its release, the military simulation still has a loyal following. Now, the title from Bohemia Interactive is even getting a new update for a popular DLC.
What is this DLC? The Arma 3 Creator-DLC S.O.G. Prairie Fire deals with the Vietnam War and was already released on May 6, 2021.
With the new major update 1.2, the DLC receives new assets, 5 new factions, new missions, and new terrain. Additionally, 11 new weapons, fighter jets, boats, and helicopters are included in the new content.
The 1.2 update was released on July 12 and requires the main game Arma 3.
What does the trailer show? The trailer for the 1.2 update provides an overview of the new content. Among other things, we see:
- the Soviet fighter jet MiG-19 (Minute 00:13)
- the F-100 fighter jet of the US Air Force (Minute 00:26)
- new variants of the helicopter UH-1 Huey (Minute 00:37)
- the new weapons (Minute 00:45 to 01:11)
- the Strike Assault Boat/Seal Team Assault Boat and the Mark 2 PBR (Minute 01:11 to 01:33)
- and other armored vehicles, tanks, static weapons as well as the 5 new factions
