In the latest trailer, Apex Legends introduces the legend Vantage. The sniper builds her entire skill kit around long-range kills, reconnaissance, and map control. Perfect for anyone everyone hates: campers.
What kind of legend is this? Vantage is a sniper who fights in the Apex Games to raise awareness of her mother’s unjust conviction. She brings some unique abilities into the battles:
- Spotter Lens (passive): While aiming, Vantage uses a scope that shows her where the shots will land through bullet drop indication. Works unarmed and with scopes.
- Echo (tactical): Sends a bat forward, which Vantage can move to via rocket boost to reposition herself.
- Sniper’s Mark (ultimate): Marks enemies so that her team deals more damage to them.
Vantage’s abilities sound like she is designed mainly as a scout, who stays in one place most of the time. A classic “camper” who lurks for enemies and takes them out at long ranges.
When is Vantage coming? Vantage will be released along with the new Season “Hunted” on August 9 in Apex Legends.
