A new trailer for the MMORPG Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds already released in Asia reveals the release window for Europe. There is also new gameplay footage from the game for PC, Android, and iOS.
What kind of game is it? Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is an MMORPG set in the world of the eponymous game series, which is otherwise mainly story-focused single-player games.
It features anime graphics based on the films of Studio Ghibli. This is no coincidence, as the game is being developed by Level 5 Studios in cooperation with the studio. You may know the studio from films like Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, or My Neighbor Totoro.
In the MMORPG, you explore the open and atmospheric anime world of Ni no Kuni. You fight against nasty monsters; the game relies on a hack-and-slash combat system. You encounter unique characters and new companions, explore dungeons with friends that offer special loot, and manage your own kingdom. There are also PvP battles.
Of course, there are also the typical MMO elements such as 5 different classes: Technician, Destroyer, Witch, Swordfighter, and Archer.
When is the release? In Japan and the East Asian region, the game has already been released since the summer of 2021. A release for the western region was announced for the first quarter of 2022. Now, it is expected to be available in summer 2022.
