At the Ubisoft Forward, a new trailer featuring gameplay for The Division: Heartland was presented. In the new Free2Play shooter, you will once again take on the role of a Division agent.
In May 2021, The Division: Heartland was announced as one of several projects aimed at expanding the Division universe. Heartland will be released as a Free2Play title and is designed to stand on its own. Therefore, you do not need to have played the other two games, but you may recognize some characters.
What can we see in the trailer? In the new trailer, Keith Evans, the Creative Director behind Heartland, introduces the game.
- You will get the first impressions of Silver Creek, the city you are supposed to protect from the enemies.
- Also, you will see the first shooter gameplay and the User Interface (UI).
- Furthermore, you can take a first look inside the new Division headquarters in the town from where you will operate and select new missions.
Otherwise, there is still little information available about the shooter: Compared to Division 1 and 2, it is more of a “lobby shooter” with shorter matches and fewer MMO elements. Even though the focus is clearly intended to be on multiplayer.
When will The Division: Heartland be released? There is no official release date yet, but you can apply for the first Closed Beta test. You can register directly at Ubisoft. The shooter is set to be released for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
