The developer Riot has now revealed more info about the fighting game “Project L” set in the universe of the MOBA League of Legends . Not only is a new fighter introduced, but it is also announced that you will be able to step into the ring in a Free2Play model. Find out more here.
What kind of game is this? It is a fighting game set in the universe of League of Legends. You will fight in familiar arenas and have a selection of heroes to choose from for your battle.
We reported back in November 2021 about the announcement of Project L, but not much information was known until then. Now a new video has been released in which a Riot developer speaks to the fans. He clarifies that “Project L” will be Free-2-Play at release. It does not matter where you live, how good you are, or how much money you want to spend; Riot wants fun to be the priority.
Additionally, veterans from the fighting game community are working on the project. They are working under the motto “If we don’t like it, we won’t make it.” So a lot of time is being invested in the development and adjustments to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Will there be monetization? Riot has quite a bit to say about monetization as well. They clarify that they want to handle the subject respectfully. They want to save your time as well as your wallet. Skins for heroes that you can then purchase with real money seem conceivable. However, this is currently just speculation.
A new heroine enters the ring: To give you a brief insight into the progress of development, Riot introduces a new heroine: Illaoi, the Kraken Priestess.

What do the fans say? Many fans agree that this is a cool game. They can hardly wait to finally compete against other players.
