Ubisoft has unveiled a new trailer for its pirate game Skull & Bones. The video showcases naval battles. Also featured are crazy things with which you can upgrade your ships in the future.
Skull & Bones was already presented in 2018 as a major multiplayer game. The aim was to take the best part from Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, the naval battles, and turn it into its own game. However, the game was constantly delayed and there was concern that Skull & Bones would never be released.
What can be seen in the new trailer? Ubisoft presented the latest trailer for Skull & Bones at “Ubisoft Forward”. What can be seen includes not only naval battles but also plenty of details on how you can upgrade your ships in the future:
- You can choose which cannons to install on your ship.
- Additionally, you can decide which type of weapon to put on deck: a large ballista that fires heavy projectiles or perhaps a rocket launcher.
- Furthermore, you can consider what kind of armor you fit on your ship to avoid sinking immediately.
- Lastly, you can personalize your ship, for example, with figureheads. Whether monster or mermaid, that’s up to you.
What are the reactions? In the comments on YouTube, the community is amused about whether such weapon types and upgrades really existed in the 17th century. However, Skull & Bones is its own interpretation and is meant to play consciously action-packed. Realism is deliberately avoided.
When will Skull & Bones be released? The pirate MMO is officially set to release on November 8, 2022, for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. You can also already pre-order the game.
