After Rogue One follows The Creator, a sci-fi action thriller directed by Gareth Edwards, in which humanity fights for survival against advanced artificial intelligence.
What is The Creator about? Joshua is recruited as a former Special Forces agent to hunt down and kill the mysterious architect of advanced AI, as he developed a mysterious weapon that could end the war – or simply wipe out all of humanity.
The spectacle takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where humans fight against the forces of artificial intelligence. For AI was once tasked with protecting humanity but then activated a nuclear warhead. Support turned into a threat, and human life became a struggle for existence.
Who produces the film? Gareth Edwards previously directed Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, one of the most successful films of 2016. However, the British director gained fame in 2010 with his debut feature film Monsters, for which he wrote the script. He also directed Godzilla in 2013.
Greig Fraser, the cinematographer of Rogue One, a prequel to Star Wars, is also involved here again.
When will The Creator be released in theaters? The film is set to hit theaters in September of this year. Given the trailer, we can look forward to an action-packed science fiction film where the actual utility of AI has become a danger to all of humanity.
