The Curse of the Moon Quay brings a breath of fresh air to Don’t Starve. The somewhat dated co-op survival game impresses with a new, free update and excites tens of thousands of players already.
Don’t Starve Together is one of our best survival games for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. It is currently ranked 6th on Steam among survival games with the best ratings (after Among Us) and boasts an impressive 96% positive reviews (via Steam).
In the latest trailer, the developers showcase the new update “The Curse of the Moon Quay”. There, you travel by sea on a raft and must defend yourself against attacking monkey pirates who want to board you. The update is now playable and free for all owners of the game.
Although Don’t Starve Together was released in 2016 as a spin-off of Don’t Starve (2013), it still regularly has over 40,000 players at peak times. The hand-drawn world and dark atmosphere make the game special.
Additionally, it offers easy controls and is thus optimal for co-op evenings, even if your friends have never played survival games before. For us, it’s one of the best co-op games overall:
