Dysterra launches today as a survival MMO in beta on Steam. In the latest trailer, the shooter showcases a battle for control of a base in a desert.
What kind of game is this? In Dysterra, you fight for your survival in a genre-typical manner. However, the game features a futuristic sci-fi setting. You explore a beautifully designed world in first-person perspective, gather resources, and must defend yourself against threats. The graphic style and gameplay are reminiscent of sci-fi shooters like Halo or Destiny.
The focus of the MMO is on PvE and cooperation; however, there will also be PvP, as seen in the trailer. The building system is heavily reminiscent of Fallout 76.
When will Dysterra be released? The survival MMO will be available on Steam, but there is no specific release date yet. The beta is running on Steam starting today, and you can sign up here.
The development is handled by the Korean studio Reality MagiQ. The publisher Kakao Games, known for other MMOs like ArcheAge or Elyon, is bringing it to the West.
