Wars of Prasia is a new MMORPG from the Korean gaming giant Nexon. It uses an isometric perspective like Lost Ark and much in the trailer resembles the style of the successful game by Smilegate. However, Wars of Prasia focuses mainly on massive PvP battles, as the gameplay at the end of the video shows.
What kind of game is it? Wars of Prasia was first announced under the name “Project ER” and now has a trailer. Not much is currently known about the MMORPG:
- The world is said to be completely open and without loading screens.
- Combat will be similar to Lost Ark with a hack-and-slash combat system.
- The clear focus is on PvP, which is said to play a role everywhere. Therefore, completely forgoing dungeons, raids, and quests.
- There will be battles over fortresses and territories in which hundreds of players can participate. Siege weapons will also play an important role.
- The battles are said to occur 24/7.
- The game places a strong emphasis on collision. Players will be able to form a shield wall that enemies cannot simply pass through.
- Wars of Prasia is being developed in Unreal Engine 4.
- It will be released for PC and mobile.
In 2021, classes were already introduced in Project ER. These are genderlocked and apparently there are only four different ones to choose from. It is not known whether this is still the case.
When will the MMORPG be released? Wars of Prasia is expected to be released in Korea in the second half of 2022. A global release is planned, although it is currently unknown when this will take place.
