The upcoming looter shooter The First Descendant presents the story of the game in a new cinematic trailer. Previous trailers reminded fans of popular shooters like Destiny and Warframe.
What kind of game is this? The First Descendant is an upcoming looter shooter with RPG elements, developed by the Korean studio Nexon Games, and can be played in multiplayer co-op with up to 3 friends.
In The First Descendant, you take on the role of the so-called “Descendants.” These descendants have special abilities. Just in September the shooter introduced some heroes who will be playable in the beta starting on October 20.
After the release of the first trailer for The First Descendant, some players were reminded of popular titles like Destiny and Warframe. One user even asked if Destiny and Warframe had a baby. Games like Anthem and Outriders were also mentioned (via YouTube).
Humanity fights against intruders from another world
What is the trailer about? The trailer provides some new insights into the story. While the trailer doesn’t show much, a voice does tell us some exciting hints. Humanity in the story of The First Descendant is portrayed as having emerged as losers from a battle against intruders from another world.
The invaders are said to have destroyed everything while humans fought to the death. Then they found a power in ancient ruins, with which they could launch a counterattack and resist.
What reactions are there? In the comments on YouTube, there are some players looking forward to more information and gameplay from the shooter. Again, there are references to Destiny and Warframe.
