Fae Farm is an upcoming co-op game from Wholesome Games, which was first announced at the last Nintendo Direct. Now there is a new trailer.
At the beginning of the trailer, we see 4 players working on a farm where colorful vegetables are growing. A chicken runs between the beds. One of the players then holds up a note, which is now zoomed in on: It appears to be a crafting guide.
In the next scene, you can see a character swimming, others wandering around and exploring the fairy-tale game world. There are different seasons, as one of the clips shows snow. We also see the characters chopping down trees, mining ores, and collecting flowers.
On the next in-game day, the character does some shopping in a cute little village and returns to the farm to set up the house. For this, they use various pieces of furniture, some of which look magical – including a cauldron.
A magical Stardew Valley in 3D
What kind of game is this? Fae Farm takes you to the magical island of Azoria, where you have to build your own farm. You can manage it alone or in co-op with up to 3 friends (locally or online). You grow vegetables, keep animals, and can decorate the farm and your house according to your wishes.
In the village, there are some neighbors with whom you can talk and gradually build friendships. This way, you also learn about their life stories.
So it sounds like a new version of Stardew Valley with pretty graphics. However, Fae Farm places a lot of emphasis on magic. Within the story, you discover that humans and elves once lived together but were separated by a mishap. You are responsible for restoring harmony.

When will Fae Farm be released? The cute co-op game is set to be released in spring 2023. There is no exact date yet. It is also known that it will initially only be playable on the Nintendo Switch.
