Netflix brings back a heroine from your youth to the screen in a new animated series. A first trailer now shows how the video game icon will look in the series.
What we know: Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft is a new animated series currently being produced by Netflix. This gives us another adaptation of the beloved heroine.
Lara Croft has made it to the screens in many variations. With many older and newer games or movies, and iconic castings like Angelina Jolie, many stories of the brave archaeologist have been told.
Now Netflix is also taking on the legends of Lara Croft
We don’t have much information yet, but in a first trailer you can now take a look at the young heroine and her upcoming adventures. All the hidden info that this trailer could offer you via YouTube has been looked at more closely by MeinMMO author Linda.
Even the title The Legend of Lara Croft
suggests that the series focuses on the young woman and her journey to becoming a heroine. The Lara you see in the trailer also seems very young. Presumably, the story will start quite early in her life.
The trailer’s description also speaks of Lara Croft’s rise.
Otherwise, the trailer also suggests an Asian setting. Because a glowing nine-tailed fox can be seen facing Lara.
The reactions in the comments express great enthusiasm for the announcement. Most think it was about time that Lara Croft got her appearance in her own animated series:
