The sandbox MMORPG Fractured is currently still in development, but beta testers have been playing since April. If you want to check it out yourself, you have the chance this weekend – from September 2 to September 5, the game is available for free.
Fractured is a sandbox MMORPG with a dynamic open world, inspired by “old-school” games like Ultima Online. The setting is classic medieval fantasy and the game is played in isometric perspective, similar to Diablo or Lost Ark.
You can build houses anywhere and create cities together. Additionally, the weather is simulated and affects you. Theoretically, it’s even a whole planet simulation.
The economy in the game is completely dependent on its inhabitants – that means you. Every item in the cycle is meant to be found, crafted, or sold by players.
As a special twist, there are 3 worlds, each with a different approach to PvP/PvE. One world has no PvP, while the next offers optional battles, and the third world is completely focused on PvP.
More about Fractured can be found in our big special on the game:
If you want to check it out, you have the opportunity this weekend. For 3 days, the MMORPG is completely free on Steam:
- Fractured free weekend
- Start: September 2 at 4 PM
- End: September 5 at 4 PM
To celebrate the event, there is now a new trailer. It is even a live-action trailer with real actors. In the background, the new song “The Sacrifice,” sung by the German influencer Lara Loft, plays.
On September 15, the early access to Fractured on Steam will officially start. There will be a server wipe and a new race will be introduced.
