Winter is coming to Dead by Daylight and brings interesting snowmen. This year, the killers are hiding in them as well – and get a nasty bonus.
Regular events have become a part of everyday life in Dead by Daylight. In addition to the Halloween event, the Christmas event is always a lot of fun, as the game rules are slightly altered and supplemented with new mechanics. This year, the developers are taking it a step further with the “Cold to the Bone” event and giving even killers the chance to sneak around the map as a snowman.
What happens at the event? Not only are the maps festively decorated, but there is also the “Snowman” mechanic again. Survivors can hide in snowmen and even move to slowly progress or evade the killer.
But this year it gets even funnier, because the killers have also learned to slip into snowmen! In this case, their movement speed is drastically reduced, but they also lose their terror radius. This might not help against survivors in voice chat, but unsuspecting survivors can certainly be surprised when a killer suddenly jumps out of the snowman wielding their weapon of choice.
If two snowmen give each other a “High Five”, that is, walk close to each other, there is a small bonus.
What rewards are there? By completing various challenges from a special event folio, you can unlock numerous different cosmetics. The most interesting rewards are available for the survivor David King and the killer Dredge:
In addition, there are again the “Ugly Sweaters”, newly available for Haddie Kaur and Vittorio Toscana, some of the newest survivors.
Additionally, there are glowing eyes for the Dredge and the Knight, some charms, and weapons. So it’s worth unlocking these rewards.
Until when does the event run? The event is already live and runs until January 4th. So you have almost a whole month to unlock the cosmetic items and have your fun with the snowmen.
What else is there? In addition to the “Cold to the Bone” event, the Advent Calendar of Dead by Daylight is also ongoing. You get a reward every day just for logging in. So even if you can’t play, it’s worth at least logging in daily to have plenty of blood points and shiny shards after the holidays.
