On November 2, the banner featuring Thoma and Hu Tao will be released in Genshin Impact. They have released a trailer corresponding to its release.
Who is Thoma? Thoma is the housekeeper of the Kamisato Clan and has built a deep network in Inazuma. Everyone knows and respects him.
What makes Thoma a perfect support for Hu Tao? Thoma can create a shield with his elemental and special abilities based on his maximum hit points (HP). Since Hu Tao ideally needs to maintain low HP to deal high damage, she requires such a shield.
This way, she is perfectly protected from enemy attacks without having to worry about going down.
Furthermore, with Thoma and Hu Tao, you have two Pyro characters in the team, which triggers a useful team bonus. The team bonus increases attack by 25% for all team members, enhancing Hu Tao’s main DPS abilities.
Additional abilities of Thoma: When Thoma uses his special ability, he not only creates a shield but also unleashes Pyro waves when you attack with normal attacks.
Both the elemental and special abilities refresh the shield with each activation and stack the damage absorption. Both skills therefore support the protective shield for Hu Tao. Additionally, he inflicts Pyro area damage with both abilities when he uses them.
