Synced is an upcoming loot shooter on Steam where humans fight against evil machines. An open beta for Synced will start in late 2022.
What kind of game is this? Synced (PC) is a free-to-play loot shooter with roguelite elements being developed by NExT Studios, which aims to avoid pay-to-win mechanics (via syncedthegame.com).
What is Synced about? Humanity looks into an apocalyptic future, where a technology that was supposed to promise a bright future turned against humans and created mechanized beasts. These beasts are called Nanos.
Open beta starts in late 2022
When does the open beta start? Synced will launch an open beta on December 10, 2022, which will be playable until January 15, 2023. You will be able to download the open beta via Steam or the official game website at the appropriate time.
What do we know about the release? Synced does not have an official release date yet and is initially planned to be released on PC. However, the official website states that a console version will follow at a later date (via syncedthegame.com).
Additionally, the developers indicate that you will not be able to transfer your progress from the open beta to the full game, as there will be significant changes and improvements to the game before the release.
In Synced, you turn your enemies into allies
What defines the gameplay? In Synced, you fight as mercenaries, known as runners, for the new world. You collect loot to upgrade your gear and weapons with mods. You have a total of 6 different runners to choose from:
- Deadcut
- Glory
- Dr. Stone
- Ragna
- Park
- Layla
Furthermore, you must prepare for various dangers in Synced, as there are normal and military-armed variants of the mechanized beasts.
Moreover, there are the so-called Primes. These can be used by your runner in battle when you synchronize with the hostile Nano. So, you can turn an enemy into your ally in combat.
However, in Synced, besides the Nanos, other dangers await you: other players. The loot shooter features both PvE and PvP elements and is designed as a team-based game where you can group up with up to three players.
