With Evercore Heroes , former employees of Riot Games have introduced a new MOBA. But what makes the game special? We at MeinMMO show you the trailer and explain what will make the upcoming game stand out.
What kind of game is this? Evercore Heroes is a new multiplayer game developed by Vela Games. The game world of the title is called Lumera, and its setting is a mix of fantasy and science.
Evercore Heroes takes a competitive approach and combines the skill-based team play of MOBAs with cooperative MMO dungeons. Accordingly, there is no PvP in Evercore Heroes despite its competitive focus. The MOBA focuses on PvE and boss battles.
PvE meets competitive approach
What is the game principle? Evercore Heroes focuses on PvE and a major part of the gameplay will be battles against boss enemies. You must defeat these using your heroes’ abilities and skilled teamwork. In doing so, you will compete against three other teams in a competitive environment.
A team consists of four players, each of whom chooses a hero with their unique abilities. The first eight heroes of the multiplayer game are already available.
Which heroes are there? Currently, the first eight heroes of the title are known. Here are their names and their characteristics:
- Shade is a master assassin who jumps quickly in and out of combat, taking out her targets before retreating.
- Fyn is referred to as a living shield, defending his teammates and protecting them from dangers with his energy shield.
- Zari is a ranger who can deal massive damage to single targets and small groups of enemies.
- Beko is an ancient spirit who creates a healing light with his lantern, protecting his teammates with abilities that heal over time.
- Blink is a melee fighter specializing in crowd control. She has abilities that allow her to lure and stun enemies.
- Remy uses cutting-edge medical technology to save teammates with health packs and control abilities.
- Lotus uses both physical strength and magic to heal her team in close combat.
- Cynder specializes in eliminating large groups of enemies with high magical damage and AoE attacks.
Applications for a play test of Evercore Heroes possible
Can you test the game already? Yes, you can already test Evercore Heroes from October 13 to 16, 2022. Over that weekend, Vela Games will hold an official play test. However, this will have a limited number of participants.
If you want to apply for the play test, you can submit an application via the Evercore Heroes website and the game’s Discord. Joining the Discord server may even increase your chances of being selected for the play test.
