Final Fantasy XIV has received a new trailer for the upcoming Update 6.2, showcasing the new content. This includes the island paradise that many players have been waiting for months.
This comes with 6.2: The major updates of FFXIV are always packed with new content, and Patch 6.2, titled “Buried Memories,” is no exception. In addition to the usual continuation of the MMORPG’s main story, fans can expect the following content:
- The Island Paradise (releasing with 6.2) – A private island where you can build structures, grow vegetables, and catch monsters.
- The 8-man raid Pandaemonium Abyssos in normal and epic difficulties – This is the second part of the raid and brings 4 new boss fights from which players will obtain the new strongest gear and weapons.
- New dungeon “The Black Keep of Toia”
- Special “Variant Dungeons” in multiple difficulties – Players will be able to choose their route through the dungeon. The story will change depending on the route taken, and multiple attempts are needed to experience them all.
- A new trial that is still a secret, in normal and extreme difficulties – Rewards are expected to include new weapons, a mount, and crafting items.
- Revision of old content to make it more modern – Battles such as the Fate’s Path or the fight against King Mogul Mog are to become more user-friendly.
- New “Relic” weapons that can be improved continuously. These are tied to the crazy fun quests of the detective Hildibrand, and one must complete the previous quests in the series to unlock them.
- Quests for the Omicron tribe
- New weapons, armor, cosmetic items, etc.
The content will not all be released at once but will be staggered over several updates. For example, Patch 6.2 will be released on August 23, but the Variant Dungeons will follow only in 6.25 a few weeks later.
