FIFA 23 has released a new gameplay trailer. Here you can get the first insight into how the game wants to evolve.
What kind of trailer is this? Just last week, FIFA 23 released a first trailer, which mostly consisted of cinematics and very little gameplay elements.
Although it already included a few exciting details, there was only little “playable” content. Now the new trailer follows, including a “deep dive” into gameplay.
FIFA 23 wants to become even more realistic with HyperMotion 2
What is HyperMotion 2? The animation technique dubbed “HyperMotion” was used by FIFA 22, which allowed EA to transfer real movements from a recorded football match into the gameplay of FIFA.
With HyperMotion 2, its further development is now ready to launch. According to EA, enough data has been collected from two full football matches to bring over 6000 realistic animations into the game.
This should also affect gameplay: FIFA 23 aims to present you with matches that differ from each other, which do not always look the same according to a pattern.
This is reflected in new gameplay elements, such as new shot variations, unusual passes, and more realistic running animations of the players. For instance, stars like Kylian Mbappé have received their own unique running style – just like in real life.
Additionally, there are more new features that you can see above in the trailer. One of these features is the new “power shot,” which is essentially a type of super shot.
Moreover, there will also be an adjustment of the sprint behavior of different players – the topic of “speed” is once again being tackled, after pace was often game-defining in previous FIFA installments. A closer look at the gameplay features in FIFA 23 can be found here.
