League of Legends has once again impressed with breathtaking cinematics. Now, an animation video has been released for the ongoing Star Guardian event – featuring Akali as the main character.
The video revolves around one of the LoL characters, Akali. In a nightmare, she faces her deepest insecurities. At the beginning of the video, you can hear her mother’s voice (minute 00:11), confirming her sadness: “You are a disappointment.” After an exciting battle, dark forces try to pull her to the evil side. But due to her deep friendship with Kai’Sa, she wants to resist and fights against it. Around minute 02:00, you can observe how the friendship bracelet from Kai’Sa’s wrist disappears, which is also a small detail hinting at Akali’s insecurities.
What do the fans say? Most users on YouTube agree – Riot really knows how to produce videos. Many fans hope, including the top comment, that the Star Guardian universe will be released as its own anime:
