In The Elder Scrolls Online the release of the upcoming “Necrom” expansion is drawing nearer. In the new gameplay trailer, we see just how dark the DLC will be.
What kind of trailer is this? On June 5th, “Necrom” will release as the latest expansion of the popular MMORPG in The Elder Scrolls Online for PC. The release for consoles follows on June 20th.
In a new trailer, Bethesda has now shown the two areas that will be added to the game with this expansion – the Telvanni Peninsula and Apocryphas.
The expansion costs 59.99 Euros and can already be pre-ordered.
What are these new areas? The trailer gives us a glimpse of what to expect in the new areas. For example, there is a kind of greenish smoke in Apocryphas. The area appears equally toxic and dark, clearly indicating that this is a place where many dangers lurk.
In contrast, the Telvanni Peninsula is presented in a nearly fairy-tale design and impresses with giant mushrooms. We already know that on the peninsula is also the holy city of the Dark Elves, “Nekrom”.
Nekrom, in turn, offers everything a large city in Tamriel needs: merchants, daily quests, and crafting stations. It serves as a spiritual center and allows Dark Elves to honor their traditions. This makes the city a politically neutral place.
Necrom brings the first new class since Elsweyr
What else can you expect in the new expansion Necrom? In addition to the two new areas, the expansion will also feature a 30-hour story and a new class: the Arcanist.
The Arcanist is the seventh class of the MMORPG and the first added since the release of the Elsweyr addon in 2019. The Arcanist relies on magic and utilizes powerful abilities. It has three skill lines available, allowing for very flexible gameplay.
Additionally, there will again be two new companions as well as 10 new item sets, new antiquities, new collectibles, new achievements, and titles. A new raid for 12 players will also be released.
