In a few days, the latest DLC Lost Depths for The Elder Scrolls Online will be released. Bethesda has now released a gameplay trailer showing underwater action.
What does the trailer show? The trailer shows some gameplay scenes from the upcoming DLC Lost Depths. We literally dive into an underwater world. For example, we see a capsized shipwreck and players moving in an air bubble at the bottom of the sea (minute 00:56 to 00:59).
At the following times, we can catch a glimpse of upcoming enemies and combat scenes:
- 00:31 to 00:35
- 00:48 to 00:55
- 01:00 to 01:05
The trailer also features a kind of parkour level where you apparently have to overcome something like laser barriers (minute 01:09 to 01:11).
“That looks like ARK”
How has the trailer been received? The trailer seems to evoke mixed feelings among players. While the content shown is well-received in the comments on YouTube, there is criticism in the comments that the actual game does not look as good:

The YouTuber user Mr. Carbonara felt reminded of another game by the colorful underwater world and compared the settings shown in the trailer with the survival hit ARK: Survival Evolved:

Lost Depths brings new dungeons
What kind of update is this? For the latest DLC of ESO, you either need to spend crowns or have an active ESO subscription.
In Lost Depths, you will gain access to two dungeons that are supposed to advance the story of High Isle and the legacy of the Bretons:
The first dungeon is the “Earthroot Enclave,” representing the spiritual refuge of the druids. The second dungeon is called “Sunken Depths” – here you explore a part of the Abcadian Sea, where ships mysteriously disappear.
When will Lost Depths be released? Lost Depths will be released on August 22 for PC and Mac. The release for Xbox and PlayStation will follow on September 9.
