Dune Awakening showcased its first gameplay from the pre-alpha at the Game Awards 2022. The game was officially announced at Gamescom 2022. It is a new survival MMO.
What kind of game is this? In Dune: Awakening, you create a character and enter the deserts of the planet Arrakis. The MMORPG promises to combine creative survival elements with the social interactions of a large multiplayer game.
You will be able to explore an open world where thousands of players simultaneously compete for the favor of the great houses of Arrakis. The deserts of Arrakis are expected to change visually and contextually over time.
This is what Dune offers:
- Crafting – You must build your own shelter, for example, to protect yourself from sandstorms and enemies.
- Various vehicles
- Open world PvP
- The fictional drug “Spice” from the Dune universe plays an important role. You farm and consume Spice to utilize certain abilities.
What does the trailer show? The trailer showcases the first gameplay from the pre-alpha. It features vehicles and helicopters, endless desert landscapes, and the first enemies you have to face.
