The Solstice event in Destiny 2 starts today, on July 19, 2022. A new trailer already prepares you for the new event.
When does the Solstice event start? The new update 4.1.5. will be deployed on July 19, 2022, bringing fresh content to all platforms. Officially, the background maintenance work ends at 8:00 PM. However, you can log back in at 7:00 PM and officially kick off the Solstice event.
What to expect in it is also shown by the new trailer, which is meant to prepare you for the summer event in the European air zone.
What does the new Solstice event in Destiny 2 bring?
Your new, luminous armor: A focus of the trailer and the upcoming event is the new, upgradable and luminous armor.
You need to continuously improve this armor throughout the Solstice by completing event challenges. Through the challenges, you will receive so-called “Kindlings,” which you can use to upgrade your armor.
But that’s not all. The trailer also shows the “Campfires” that you need to build during the event. You need these to transform earnable “Silver Leaves” into “Silver Ash.”
This ash, in turn, can be socketed into your refined armor to influence its stats and reroll. You can define a specific stat bonus yourself and try to craft exactly the armor you need and desire.
What else is in the event? There have already been several leaks regarding what to expect during the Solstice. Among other things, it is speculated that a new hand cannon could be introduced to the game.
In addition, there will likely be new, thematically appropriate summer sparrows. There are even mentions of a moving “crab sparrow.”
