During the Game Awards 2021, Bungie presented a new trailer for Destiny 2 and the upcoming “Witch Queen” DLC. This shows part of the first mission in which the Guardians encounter the Witch Queen Savathûn.
What is Witch Queen about? “The Witch Queen” will be the next major expansion for Destiny 2, bringing numerous new content to Bungie’s action MMO.
What is it about? The titular Hive Witch Savathûn is an important character from the Destiny universe and has been pulling the strings of the Destiny storyline from the background for a long time. Her trademarks and tools are lies, intrigue, and manipulation. This is also evident in the trailer, where the Guardians walk into a trap set by her on Mars. Does this mean a familiar location is coming back?
The trailer also shows one of her Knights. Savathûn gifted her Hive soldiers the power of Light, so they cannot die directly like the Guardians themselves.
