In Destiny 2 it gets festive: As every year in December, today marks the start of the traditional Christmas event, the Dawning 2022. In line with this, Bungie released a new trailer. We at MeinMMO will show you what it’s all about.
One week after the launch of the Season of the Seraph, Bungie launches the annual Christmas event in Destiny 2. The Dawning went live today with the Weekly Reset, on December 13, 2022, at 18:00 our time, and will run until early January 2023.
A trailer that Bungie released today for the event’s start shows the return of Stasis snowballs, with which players can throw at friends and foes.
The free in-game event also brings back the popular event vendor Eva Levante to the Tower. As in previous years, players can bake cookies from questionable ingredients for their favorite characters in the system and receive rewards from the vendor.
Ingredients for the cookies can be obtained by using various weapons and elemental attacks as well as defeating different enemy types.
New, however, is the event card, on which prizes such as badges, shaders, and an exotic ghost can be unlocked by completing challenges. Through a silver upgrade, there is also another exotic ghost, an exotic sparrow, and a new emote.
Players who can complete all challenges on the event card will also receive the Seal of the Dawning and the title “Star Baker”.
The trailer narrated by Eva Levante also showcases the new legendary pulse rifle “Stay Cool PR2,” which can assist you in the search for ingredients. In the Eververse store, Tess Everis’s shop, it will be available alongside other new weapons and Dawning cosmetics.
The Dawning started today after the server downtime for Update 6.3.0.1, which is supposed to re-activate the API, among other things.
