A new killer for Dead by Daylight has been revealed. Check out the cruel Albert Wesker from Resident Evil in the trailer.
Even though many of the developers’ decisions in Dead by Daylight are currently being criticized, one cannot help but note that the horror game is currently releasing a lot of content and securing more and more strong licenses. As announced a few months ago, the “Resident Evil” license will be expanded and will soon bring 3 new characters. There is a new killer and two new survivors:
The killer Albert Wesker and the survivors Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers.
Who is Albert Wesker? The new killer, Albert Wesker, who will likely be referred to as “Mastermind” in the game, is one of the primary antagonists of the Resident Evil series. He is an important leading member of the Umbrella Corporation and is convinced that he can elevate humanity to the next level through mutations. Ultimately, he even infected himself with a virus to further enhance his own body. The Uroboros virus grants him massive physical powers and – like much in Resident Evil – a lot of tentacles that can also trigger infections.
What can the characters do? So far, both the killer and the survivors have only been briefly introduced, however, there are a number of leaks that already reveal the killer’s abilities and perks in detail. Be aware that the upcoming information may change before the release.
The most is known about Wesker so far. He will likely have abilities similar to those of the Nemesis.
Using the Uroboros virus, he can infect survivors, and their infection increases over time. Once infected, the survivors suffer from a slowdown that is initially minimal, but becomes stronger if left untreated. A new serum can reverse the infection, but is only available in limited quantities – so far it sounds similar to the Nemesis.
However, what distinguishes Wesker is that he can “charge” at survivors and throw them against objects. When Wesker charges against pallets or windows, he quickly overcomes them and can swiftly resume the chase. If Wesker hits a survivor with his special ability while they are already fully infected, they are lifted immediately and can be carried to the hook.
