The Korean developer studio Nexon Games provided further glimpses of the upcoming cooperative shooter The First Descendant at the Tokyo Games Show 2022. The new trailer focused on the playable characters and the gameplay.
What kind of game is this? In the F2P shooter, you embody the so-called Descendants, who all have special abilities.
- The First Descendant is an upcoming looter-shooter with role-playing elements developed by the Korean studio Nexon Games.
- Can be played cooperatively with up to 4 players
- Players commented under the reveal trailer that the shooter looks like Destiny and Warframe

Trailer shows Descendants and Gameplay
What does the new trailer show? The new trailer of The First Descendant gives us further insights into the gameplay of the cooperative shooter. At the very beginning (minute 00:08 to 00:13), 6 playable characters are introduced by name.
Following the names, we then see gameplay of the different Descendants as well as the weapons and catch glimpses of various enemies (minute 00:13 to 00:43).

Which characters were introduced?
- Lepic: a former soldier with weapons in his arms
- An “ultimate” version of Lepic is also shown
- Viessa: a former member of a criminal gang who can control cold air
- Bunny: a fast-running attacker who uses electricity in combat
- Jayber: can control the flow of electricity and employs two turrets in battle
- Sharen: an assassin who uses melee attacks
Nexon also shared the following characters on Twitter:
- Ajax: his entire body is encased in armor
- Gley: utilizes the HP of enemies as well as his own as an energy source
- a poison fighter (still unnamed)
- a fighter who can control fire (still unnamed), who is also seen in the trailer (minute 00:18).

On which platforms will the shooter be released? The First Descendant will be released on Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
When is the release? A precise release date for The First Descendant is currently unknown. However, it reads on Steam that the shooter is “coming soon”.
Prior to the release, a beta will be playable on Steam. This starts on October 20, 2022, and runs until October 26, 2022. You can already register for the beta now.
