At the Summer Game Fest 2023, a new game featuring the world’s most famous blue hedgehog was announced with Sonic Superstars, and fans are excited.
What kind of game is this? Sonic Superstars is a new 2D platformer set to be released in fall 2023 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
The game presents the blue hedgehog in modern graphics and is the first 2D game featuring Sonic in 10 years. The last time Sonic appeared was in the 2010 release “Sonic the Hedgehog 4” in a two-dimensional game world.
Additionally, Sonic Superstars will feature an online multiplayer mode that you can play with up to three players. Besides Sonic, it will also allow players to slip into other well-known characters from the Sonic universe, including Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose. Fan-favorite and cowboy weasel Fang will also be included.
