Hauke Gerdes is known among other things for his Pen&Paper stories with the Rocket Beans. He founded the studio Blankhans with friends. Their new survival game “Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore” is currently in alpha and is set to launch in early access later this year. MeinMMO editor-in-chief Leya Jankowski interviewed the founders.
Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore is an upcoming multiplayer survival game set in a fantasy world called Ultracore. You find yourselves in Tormentosia, which is threatened by Sorgoth, the devourer of worlds.
The kingdoms of this world unite to create Ultracore, a shield that protects part of the land. You must reclaim territories, build and expand cities, and defend yourselves against attacks.
Coreborn is a purely PvE game that aims to thrive on the construction of a shared world.
Founders of Blankhans in Interview
Leya spoke with the founders of Blankhans about how they want to realize their ambitious project. The plan is to leave a mark in the gaming landscape with Coreborn as significant as that of World of Warcraft.
They philosophize with the German developers about the survival genre itself and where the journey is headed. They also discuss why so many games that plunge into PvP often fail.
Coreborn invites players to test on Steam this weekend, showcasing gameplay and open world
