What did he try? The Japanese Halo player sakanayalugang (via Twitter) tested how many players the sniper rifle can take out at once. Currently, in Halo Infinite, thanks to Big Team Battle, up to 24 players are possible on one map.
Thus, he enlisted 23 players for the test and had them lined up nicely in a row. In the clip, you can see how he counts the players again before the big shot.
