Map changes – What is new in Fortnite? Flying island, haunted castle
Loot Lake and the flying island: The trailer for Season 6 in Fortnite showed that a large island arose from Loot Lake. This now hovers over the lake.
Loot Lake itself has also changed because of this. Where the island rose, it now drops a few meters deep. Large rocks protrude from the water.
House on the island: If you look closely, you can even spot a house on the island. Many Fortnite players will definitely explore that as soon as they have built a way there or land with the glider.
More changes on the map: The flying island is not the only new feature. There is also the haunted castle, corn fields, and cursed areas on the map. These cursed areas are places that the purple cube visited on its way to Loot Lake.
