Vegeta and Bulma have been a couple since Dragon Ball Z. They have two children together, Trunks and Bra. Although Vegeta is such a headstrong Saiyajin, he shows in the new episode of the anime how important his family is to him.
Why is Vegeta close to death? Son-Goku and his friends must face the powerful King Gomah, who has now gained immense powers through the third demonic eye on his forehead. Vegeta faces him alone after regaining his adult form through Glorio’s wish.
Vegeta is pushing himself to his limit: He transforms into the triple Super-Saiyajin and realizes that he doesn’t have much time left to maintain the transformation. His defeat is imminent, but he is ready to fight to the death.
Fortunately, he has his wife Bulma, who loves him. She manages with a nasty trick to force him to give up.
How Son-Goku and the others became children is shown in the first trailer for Dragon Ball Daima:
Bulma saves Vegeta’s life by bathing
What kind of nasty trick is that? Bulma calls out to Vegeta to stop fighting immediately. Otherwise, she would never bathe with him again. Vegeta turns around in slow motion, visibly shocked. He shortly thereafter leaves the battlefield at incredible speed, leaving the fighting to the others.
With this, Bulma has probably saved Vegeta’s life. The Saiyajin had already sacrificed himself in Dragon Ball Z to defeat his opponent Majin Buu, which unfortunately didn’t quite work. Here too, it could have been the case that he fights to the bitter end.
Why does Vegeta let himself be manipulated with bathing? The scene shows how important his family and especially his wife Bulma are to Vegeta. But there have also been many moments beforehand that showed their love for each other:
- When Bulma asked if Vegeta could carry her while flying, he replied that he intended to do so anyway.
- In Dragon Ball Super, the God of Destruction, Bills, hits his wife Bulma. Vegeta becomes so angry that he transforms into a Super-Saiyajin and challenges Bills.
- When Bulma is pregnant with Bra, Vegeta refuses to participate in the tournament of universes. He doesn’t want to miss the birth of his daughter and leave his wife alone.
