In the survival MMO V Rising, you receive different buffs when you consume the blood of certain enemies. MeinMMO tells you which buffs you get from different blood types and how to acquire them.
What do blood types do in V Rising? Blood types are responsible for strengthening your vampire. With them and the corresponding weapons, you can become a mage, melee fighter, or tank.
How do you obtain a blood type? When you nearly knock out an opponent, the game allows you to “feed” by pressing the “F” key.
The loading bar at the bottom of the screen shows you how long you need to feed on the creature. During this time, you can be attacked and even killed. Therefore, only feed when you are safe.
All 6 Blood Types and Their Buffs Overview
What blood types are there? There are a total of 6 blood types and blood qualities from 1 to 100% that buff you. Additionally, there is an “Undefined” type that you start with. The undefined blood type is always obtained when you die or consume creatures and items like rats and hearts.
How can you see which blood type and blood quality you are getting? When you hover your mouse cursor over a roaming enemy, you can directly see how much percentage of quality the blood provides and which blood type it corresponds to. Therefore, you don’t have to engage in unnecessary fights when you see that the blood is relatively weak.
When do the 5 different buff levels of the blood types activate?
- I → Active immediately when you take a blood type.
- II → At a blood quality of 30% and higher.
- III → At a blood quality of 60% and higher.
- IV → At a blood quality of 90% and higher.
- V → At a blood quality of 100%.

Thus, you must strategically adapt your blood type to the current situations and can switch and experiment at will.
