V Rising is currently experiencing great success and has received mostly positive reviews. A few features annoy some players, but they can simply be turned off.
The vampire game V Rising is brand new on Steam and is already among the biggest hits in recent weeks.
However, there is also criticism, as players complain that they are punished by the game if they are not logged in. This problem can be circumvented by adjusting the server settings of the game accordingly. We at MeinMMO will show you what you need to consider.
Your castle in V Rising won’t decay quickly with the right settings
What exactly is the problem? When you build your castle, you need to take care of your Heart of the Castle and feed it with blood essences. Some users complained that the Heart decays after just a few hours.
Here’s what you can do: If you don’t want your castle to decay so quickly and your property to be destroyed, then host your own game. Choose “Private Game” for this. You have over 50 features here that you can customize to your needs. For example, you can choose your starting equipment or how many resources enemies drop.
Here’s how to proceed: Click on private game and first set up the basic things. This includes how many players are allowed to join you and whether there are PvP or PvE rules.
Then proceed to the “advanced game settings.” Here you can further customize additional options.
These settings you must make: First go to “Castle Settings.” The two most important points for you are “Decay Rate Multiplier” and “Blood Essence Drain Rate”:
- Decay Rate Multiplier is the rate at which the castle decays when the heart has no blood essence left. If you lower this multiplier, you have more time until your castle decays.
- Blood Essence Drain Rate describes how quickly a castle consumes blood essence. A higher rate means a higher consumption of blood essence. If you lower the value, it takes longer for your blood essences to be consumed.
This applies, by the way, to all castles that are on your server. If you adjust these two points accordingly, you should not have any problems if you can only log in once a day for an hour or if you are away for several days and have no time to play.
What if I play on another server? Here you cannot change the settings and should check how these two values are set. Because in the most annoying case, everything could suddenly be gone.
