Starting today, you can upgrade legendary items to Item Level 1000 in World of Warcraft. We will show you how the “Legendary Upgrade” works with the Awakening Essences.
With the end of today’s maintenance (29.11.2017), the last raid of the Legion expansion is now open on the European servers of World of Warcraft. This means better loot for all players, and with that, an increase in item level is to be expected.
To ensure that the legendary items remain “Best in Slot”, the orange items can now be upgraded again. This allows you to achieve an item level of 1000 for the Legendaries!
As in the past, you will need to collect a total of 50 Awakening Essences to upgrade a single Legendary to item level 1000.
Get Awakening Essences for A Titanic Effort to upgrade a Legendary
The required Awakening Essences for the quest A Titanic Effort can be obtained from several sources:
- The weekly “Mythic+” chest in the Order Hall
- All bosses from the raid Antorus, the Burning Throne (once per boss, regardless of difficulty)
- Emissary chests from world quests
- The first daily heroic dungeon
- Weekly PvP quests
From these sources, you will also receive the quest item that initiates “A Titanic Effort” for the first time.
Once you have gathered 50 essences, bring them to Arcanomancer Vridiel in the Dalaran Forge, and you will receive an Awakened Titan Essence in exchange.
The Awakened Titan Essence can be applied to all Legendaries, regardless of their previous base level (910, 940, or 970). Thus, even returnees who may have taken a break can quickly bring their items up to the new maximum.
You can repeat the mission as many times as necessary until all legendary items in your possession have been upgraded to item level 1000.
By the way: Legendary items that you receive from now on are immediately at item level 1000. No upgrade is necessary!
