Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4 & Xbox One) receives a small patch V.3.2.1. It includes a few minor adjustments and bug fixes. It’s mainly about the storm and farms. And it doesn’t even require a server maintenance!
Fortnite: Battle Royale recently received a major patch 3.2. It included a new weapon and a crazy game mode called “20s Teams“. Additionally, there were a few new skins that were found in the game’s code and will likely go online soon.
However, there is still room for improvement, as the developers plan to upload patch V.3.2.1 to the servers today, March 9th, at some point.
No server maintenance for the new update
But what does the downtime mean for you Fortnite fans? Do you have to endure hours in front of blank screens until the servers are back online? Not at all, as V.3.2.1 comes without server maintenance. The changes are small enough to be implemented as a hotfix during ongoing operations.
Patch notes for Fortnite 3.2.1
But what does the new patch do? Here are the patch notes for update V.3.2.1:
General changes:
- Crashes during texture streaming have been fixed on all platforms
- Details on farms are now rendered from a distance
Changes to the 20s team mode:
The storms in the 20s mode were a problem, so now there are 2 minutes less in the final storm and one minute more in the first two:
- Storm Circle 1: Random location. 120s wait time, 180s shrink time.
- Storm Circle 2: Random location. 120s wait time, 90s shrink time.
- Storm Circle 3: Location centered on the previous storm (for the rest of the round). 120s wait time, 90s shrink time.
- Storm Circle 4: 120s wait time, 60s shrink time.
- Storm Circle 5: 180s wait time, 60s shrink time.
- Storm Circle 6: 120s wait time, 120s shrink time.
We’ll be pushing a v3.2.1 update out on March 9th to address a few performance issues. There will be no downtime for this patch. We don’t have an official time yet but we’ll keep you posted!
