Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4 & Xbox One) is currently being actively updated by the developer Epic. This time there are adjustments to the quality of life and weapon behavior. The update is numbered 1.38 on PS4.
Fortnite: Battle Royale is the new star in the game repertoire of developer Epic Games. After all, developers are being taken away from all other projects to develop content and updates for Fortnite faster . Therefore, just a week after the big update V.2.2.0. there is already another patch.
This time, however, there are fewer world-changing innovations, but adjustments and improvements to the “quality of life,” meaning accessibility.
Voice Chat, Grenade Trajectories, and No More Rewards for Quitters!
Update V.2.3.0 mainly brings smaller adjustments, a new item, and a few useful features into the game. These include:
- The trajectory of grenades is now more accurate
- The wait time between throwing a grenade and switching to another weapon has been reduced
- There are more loot locations in the “Haunted Hills” area
- You can mute players already in the lobby screen
- Player knockdowns are now also recorded by Nvidia Shadowplay
- Voice chat is now available even before the game starts
- You can set an auto-run option
- Auto-assist can be turned off on consoles
- You can drink a new energy drink called “Chug Jug.” If you manage to drink it for 15 seconds, you will get full health and shields
- Those who leave the game early will receive no rewards. Only if you die or win will there be loot!
PvE Mode Also Gets an Update
The lion’s share of the updates concerns the PvP mode of Fortnite. But there are also a few changes to the PvE co-op mode. The winter event is ending, and you will again get the “Mutant Storm Event.”
In the Stonewood region, there are 5 such storms, while Plankerton, Canny Valley, and Twine Peaks can boast up to 25 storms. Additionally, there are hydraulic weapons and the legendary Hydra Transform Key.
