The Sims 4 has been on the market since 2014 and continues to receive updates diligently. The newest expansion, “High School Years,” allows you to send your Sims through a pubescent torture. However, an update prior to the expansion is causing trouble – your Sims want to date family members.
Your Sims can now attend high school, earn a diploma, and relive the full range of embarrassing school experiences from your puberty step by step.
But it’s not just at school where things will be embarrassing. Family gatherings might also become a bit strange in the near future due to a glitch.
What is this glitch? More and more players are reporting that their Sims want family members as “girlfriend” or “boyfriend.”
The strange bug appeared after a preparatory update for the new expansion “High School Years” was installed.

On reddit, a Sims grandma wants to seduce her son Vernon. This is commented with “Grandma has a dark side” (via reddit.com). There are also “Game of Thrones” references with the lewd House Lannister.

A user reports to support that this bug may have been in the game since release. But now this “tendency” of some Sims is apparently also being triggered by the emotions system. Interactions are suggested that improve the mood of the Sims.
The strange bug has already been noticed by the developers and a solution is in the works (via twitter.com). In the tweet, it was also confirmed that they are working on the bug with rapidly aging Sims.
