Genshin Impact is one of the most popular free-to-play games today. With the latest update, the world level is increased, which brings some advantages for the players.

What will change? The world of Genshin Impact has only been levelable up to level 8 since the game’s release. This means that players who have reached a high level did not see any real challenge in the enemies. However, this is supposed to change with the 5.0 update.
The developers are adding World Level 9, which you can unlock at Adventure Level 58. The enemies are supposed to become roughly ten levels harder, but will also drop more loot. The base drop rate of the following enemies will be increased:
- Wraith
- Abyss Mage
- Nobushi
- Kairagi
- Ruins Guardian
- Ruins Hunter
- Ruins Colossus
Additionally, it will be easier to collect materials to level up your characters. If you defeat a world boss, you will receive at least three materials for character enhancement. This greatly speeds up the leveling of your characters.
What else is new? There are also smaller changes.
- regional features can now be located more easily with a new search function on the map
- limit of map markers increased by 50
- eight new artifact sets for conversion
- the burden of the Pot of Transience and the limit of the decoration inventory will be increased

When is the new update coming? There is no exact date for the new update yet. However, HoYoverse has announced a special broadcast on their YouTube and Twitch channel. The broadcast will take place on Friday, August 16th from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
