Call of Duty: Warzone and CoD: Modern Warfare have received the new update 1.18 today on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We show what new content you can expect now and take a look at the patch notes.
What is the new update about? Since early this morning, shortly after 7:00 AM German time, a new patch is available for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and its in-house Battle Royale Call of Duty: Warzone on all platforms – Update 1.18.
This update was initially scheduled to be released earlier this week on March 24, but was postponed by the developers. Now it is finally here.
The new update is about 11.4 GB in size on PS4. But what’s really inside?
CoD Modern Warfare and Warzone Update 1.18 – The Patch Notes
These are the new contents: From a new Operator to limited-time playlists to completely new modes – there is quite a bit included.
- The Coalition now has a new Operator – Talon
- The map Khandor Hideout – the last new map announced so far in the Season 2 for MW. This can now be played as a 24/7 playlist in the regular multiplayer of CoD: Modern Warfare.
- New Night Vision Infected multiplayer mode. The popular Infected format is played in the dark. Survivors have thermal vision and a limited night vision battery, infected can see in the dark. Additionally, realism rules are active there.
- New mode Plunder: Blood Money – There are guaranteed cash drops after every kill. Extra cash can be gained through contracts and finishing moves. So you can leave the field much faster as a winner than in the standard playlist.
Changes that have been made: Here we list some of the most important changes that have come to the game with update 1.18:
- In Warzone, you can now find 4 new weapons: the 725 shotgun, MK2 carbine, EBR-14 marksman rifle, and the .50GS pistol. You can now find these firearms distributed throughout Verdansk and in supply boxes.
- The price for loadout drops in Warzone has been increased. Instead of the previous $6,000, it now costs $8,500. This means you will need to sweat more to call in and use your personal loadouts. - If you shoot a player in Warzone incapacitated (crawling on their knees) and they leave the match, this will now count as an elimination. Additionally, players will drop their loot immediately after disconnecting and will not simply vanish into thin air.
- The maximum flight time of crossbow bolts has been increased from 3 to 6 seconds, allowing for shots at greater distances with the crossbow.
- In addition, there have been numerous bug fixes and stability improvements for nearly all areas of the game, from the campaign, through the battle royale “Warzone”, to regular multiplayer and the co-op mode SpecOps.
