What kind of game is this? Fractured Veil is developed by Paddle Creek Games and was funded via Kickstarter as a crowdfunding project. The game was funded with over 90,000 Euros, with a funding goal of at least 86,215 Euros. The campaign runs until the end of the week.

What are the special features of Fractured Veil? The first major feature of Fractured Veil is the setting. Survival games in the post-apocalypse are usually located in dark and desolate deserts. Here, however, the apocalypse consists of a global teleporter network shattering reality, leaving your characters stranded on a version of Hawaii.
There, you must survive and first find food, water, and rudimentary shelter. Disgusting monsters will hinder you. Among them are grotesque creatures that resemble mutated retirees, who were relaxing in the tropics before the catastrophe and now haunt you with a cane as a mobility aid.
As additional features, Fractured Veil offers 500 players per world and a detailed building system, allowing you to construct your dwelling as you wish. There are also dungeons beneath the island for you to explore. The island is inspired by the real island of Maui and features a dynamic weather system.
Another feature includes drones constantly hovering over the island, recording everything and streaming it on Twitch. You can also align these drones with yourself to get into the stream.
When will the game be released? Fractured Veil is set to be released on Steam in 2022 and will start in Early Access.
