In a survey, we wanted to know how you feel about unlocking the allied races in World of Warcraft. Your answer was once again quite clear.
The allied races in World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth are a welcome change for players who want to play new characters. Thanks to new customization options, the “Allied Races” are quite popular.
One point, however, causes heated discussions: Should you have to unlock allied races painstakingly?
MeinMMO readers want immediate unlocking
That’s exactly what we wanted to know in our survey a few days ago, and you answered.
- 64% of our readers (almost two-thirds) believe that allied races should be playable immediately. They see the requirements for unlocking as annoying and wish it were different.
- Only 36% of our readers are satisfied with the current variant. If it were up to them, something should be done for allied races to make them a reward and have a certain exclusivity.
Opinions from the community
Under the survey, participants and readers actively commented. Here are some representative opinions that summarize the topic well.
- Sentcore: “Immediate unlocking or tie it to the story, without having to do tedious side stuff. That’s at least my view…”
- Koronus: “The reputation requirements are good and meaningful, as the Mag’har and the Oathbound Eitrigg help with a special project, and I have already seen dark iron at the 7th Legion. However, what seems unreasonable to me is the leveling phase. Allied races should not start at level 20, but at 110.”
- Momo: “Totally ridiculous in my opinion. I am new to the game and now seriously have to play an old race and then start over just to play a new race? Absolutely not.”
Does the result of the survey align with the opinion from your circle of friends and acquaintances? Or do you see it completely differently?
