In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and CoD Warzone, Season 5 has officially started. Along with some other features, it brings you two new weapons: the AN-94 and the ISO (APC9). MeinMMO will tell you how to get them.
What are these new weapons? The two weapons are some of the new content from the Season 5 of Modern Warfare and Warzone that started on August 5. They are:
- the AN-94, a Russian assault rifle that looks like a mix of an AK-47 and an M4A1
- the ISO, or APC9, a submachine gun that closely resembles the UMP 45 from earlier versions or the Striker 45 from Season 2
Once you download the 50 GB update, you can immediately start unlocking the two weapons. We will tell you how.
Battle Pass brings 2 new weapons for everyone
How do I get the weapons? Both the AN-94 and the ISO are rewards in the new Battle Pass of Season 5. You can simply earn both weapons. You will receive
- the ISO at level 15 of the Battle Pass
- the AN-94 at level 31 of the Battle Pass
They are also included in the free path, so you don’t have to spend any money if you invest enough time. Depending on how well you play and which boosters you use, you can reach a new Battle Pass level in 30 to 60 minutes.
Use event weekends for double experience points to progress faster. Also, it looks like you can still complete the secret data from Season 4, if you haven’t done so yet. This provides a decent amount of XP for the Battle Pass.
Can I buy the weapons? Yes, it is possible to purchase level-ups in the Battle Pass. However, these cost quite a bit. You need
- 2,250 points (about €22.50) for the ISO
- 4,650 points (about €46.50) for the AN-94
With the Battle Pass bundle for 2,400 points (about €24), you immediately skip 20 levels. You unlock the ISO directly and still need 11 additional levels, which will cost you 1,650 points (about €16.50). This also grants you access to the premium path of the Battle Pass.
In addition to the AN-94 and ISO, there will also be more weapons. The roadmap for Season 5 has already revealed that more is coming – just not exactly what it will be.
Are the weapons worth it?
At the moment, it is still too early to make concrete statements about the strength of the new weapons. For multiplayer players who like to play in a ‘Run & Gun’ style, the ISO might present an interesting change.
In Warzone, the AN-94 could be interesting. Assault rifles are among the most popular weapons here, and with a new gun, there are new possibilities for builds. The CR-56 AMAX is, however, still not quite in its place in the ranking of assault rifles in Warzone, even now, after one season. It may take some time before players really discover the strength of the AN-94.
