Season 3 has started in Fortnite: Battle Royale and you can unlock Aquaman as a skin. We will show you how it works.
What kind of skin is this? In line with the water theme, the DC character Aquaman is now available as a skin in Fortnite. Soon you will be able to roam the Fortnite world as the King of the Seas. The outfit looks quite similar to actor Jason Momoa from the Aquaman movie.
In the first trailer for Season 3, you could catch a glimpse of Aquaman surfacing from the water on a giant goldfish. The “Battle Pass” trailer then introduced the skin in more detail.
Unlock Aquaman skin – Here’s how
To unlock the skin and play as Aquaman, you first need to complete a weekly task. We will show you how it works.
Since a new challenge is unlocked each week, we will update the article for you as soon as the next task is available. With the remaining tasks, you can unlock cool Aquaman items.
1st Phase of the Tasks
Unlike the Deadpool skin, which was quite “hidden”, you can find Aquaman easily. If you want the Aquaman skin, you first need to:
- Buy the Battle Pass for Season 3
- Go to the new Battle Pass menu
- Go to the card challenges (a round table)
- View Aquaman’s challenges
First task of week 1
You have now completed the first phase to unlock the skin. However, to have Aquaman in your locker, you first need to complete a weekly challenge.
What do you need to do? This week’s task is: “Use a whirlpool at The Fortilla.”
So, you just need to land at the new location on the map: The Fortilla. It’s best to keep an eye out for water whirlpools while approaching, so you can head there directly. The task should be completed quickly.
Task of week 2
What do you need to do? This week’s task is: “Use a fishing rod to waterski with loot sharks at Sweaty Sands.”
For this, you just need to land at the location Sweaty Sands, find a fishing rod, and catch a shark. Once a shark bites, it will pull you along. If you manage to do this, the task is complete.
Task of week 3
What do you need to do? In week 3 of the Aquaman challenges, you should catch different fish during a match.
So, if you find a fishing rod, take it with you in your inventory and keep an eye out for fish in the waters. They are usually in a group and jump out of the water for a moment. Then cast your line there and wait for one to bite.
Important: You need to catch different fish. There are 3 types: small fish, goldfish, and slurp fish. Remember that you need to catch the fish in the same match.
Task of week 4
What do you need to do? This week, you need to complete a swimming time trial at Dirty Docks. In these races, you must swim a path indicated by small stopwatches. These swimming time trials have been around since the launch of Chapter 2.
For this Aquaman challenge, you need to do it at Dirty Docks, located in the eastern part of the map.
Task of week 5
What do you need to do? Finally, the time has come, as this week you can unlock the Aquaman skin. The task for this is: “Get your trident at Coral Cove.” This means you unlock Aquaman’s trident at the same time.
For the “Arthur Curry” style variant, you also need to complete a challenge first. You are to dive over the edge of the waterfall at the beautiful gorge while equipped with the Aquaman outfit.
The beautiful gorge is located northwest of Lazy Lake and is quite easy to spot as it is the largest waterfall on the map.
But you can unlock not only Aquaman in this Season 3. The Battle Pass also includes several other skins. Together, they form the Drifter Crew. We will show you all the new skins of Season 3, which outfits were leaked by data miners and which should soon be available in the item shop.
