In Destiny 2 Bungie has once again shared many upcoming changes in a TWaB before and for Lightfall. We explain what to expect soon and why one class will no longer solely dominate PvP.
What will change soon? Bungie has many changes to announce that will come with Lightfall. This includes a complete restructuring of the loadout system, as well as the annoying champion enemies.
In addition, there will be even more changes before Lightfall that are primarily designed to simplify your lives as guardians. These include:
- The complete removal of blue engrams once the soft cap has been reached.
- Rumble will no longer rotate as a PvP mode but will again be active as a permanent fixed mode.
- Exotic catalyst quests from year 3 will now also benefit from the season pass boost. These include:
- Eriana’s Vow
- Symmetry
- Tommy’s Matchbook
- Withering Whelp
- Crafting for exotic glaives will be simplified and adjusted.
Additionally, abilities in PvP will be adjusted, and a popular Titan exotic will be nerfed.
Titans may soon stop hiding
What nerfs are to be expected? For Titans, things do not look good in PvP, as their beloved exotic arms “Citan’s Rampart” are about to receive a hard hit. While especially in the Trials of Osiris, Titans could happily set up their barricades and shoot through them, that will soon change.
Bungie has decided that Titans equipped with the exotic arms will receive a 70% increased cooldown on their class ability. That’s not all, players who shoot at such barricades can soon deal 25% more damage to them.
Basically, this is not a nerf; it is a veritable annihilation of the exotic that will force many guardians to question whether its use is still worthwhile. However, Titans are not the only ones being slowed down in PvP.
What else is changing? Bungie has also taken a look at PvP regarding “abilities” and there are many adjustments upcoming:
- Titans
- Cooldown of barricade from tower height increased from 40s to 48s
- Cooldown of gunfighting barricade increased from 32s to 38s
- Cooldown of the jet increased from 30s to 36s
- Hunters
- Cooldown of sniper dodge increased from 29s to 34s
- Cooldown of daring dodge increased from 38s to 46s
