The race for the World First Kills in the new raid of World of Warcraft is racing past us. America is almost done before we Europeans could join in.
For some fans of World of Warcraft, the race for the “First Kills” in mythic raids is particularly exciting. No wonder, as this race has a special allure and the professional players grind for days at the limit to outdo their competitors.
However, contrary to expectations, the race for the World First Kills in the Battle of Dazar’alor could be over faster than ever before.
America is already at 7/9 bosses: As usual, the weekly server maintenance in America is a bit earlier than in Europe. This also means that Americans can start their raid progress earlier. This was the case this time as well – and the Americans took advantage of this time! Even before Europeans could enter the mythic version of the Battle of Dazar’alor, Americans had already plowed through two-thirds of the raid. Currently, the leading guild “Limit” is fighting against the Stormwall Blockade, the eighth of nine bosses.
Method (Europe) has already begun to catch up and is at 4/9 bosses, with expectations that at least the next two will follow soon.
Why did the bosses fall so quickly? There are likely several reasons why a large portion of the bosses was defeated relatively early this time. On one hand, players and spectators say that the difficulty of the first bosses is relatively low compared to other raid tiers from the past. On the other hand, players had the opportunity to obtain particularly powerful items beforehand. One guild even changed factions to obtain the strongest items.
Asian players are even more affected: Korea, Taiwan, and China are experiencing an even harsher situation. For them, the new raid will only unlock around midnight today. With a bit of bad luck, the race may already be over by then.
